Copied from Coffeedog
I have today off and am recuperating from a fun filled week. FormerBlondie™ was in town. Hopefully I'll have some pics up soon.

Appetizer
List 3 emotions you experienced this week.
Happiness, exhaustion, satisfaction. Good week. My best friend was in town for a Critical Care Nursing covnention and we walked around, tired ourselves out and had a good time over all.

Soup
Name a car you’d love to have.
This piece of heaven right here

This is a Lotus Elise.

Salad
Describe your typical morning routine.
Wake up, pick up Pooky and put him in the spare bedroom with his special kibble. Feed Pumpkin her canned food light diet. (They eat each other's food if I don't do this and then Pooky ends up getting sick) Go back to sleep for a little bit, give Pooky his meds, shower / breakfast / coffee / primp then head to work.

Main Course
Have you ever emailed someone famous? If so, who, and what did you say to them? Did they reply?

I did e-mail Katherine Neville some years back after I had re-read her novels. I think I thanked her for writing them. (I can't remember...don't have the e-mail anymore either) She was very gracious in her reply and did reply back personally

Dessert
Do you listen to podcasts? If so, which ones?
I've only listened to They Might Be Giant's podcasts.

Busy busy update
Work has been great! Busy, but great! I'm having a really good time and challenging my brain.

Pooky has been feeling really, really well. He has been up to his old kitten like antics and exhibiting crazy eyes and fuzzy tail for 2 days this past week. You wouldn't think he was in renal failure at all. His next check up is tomorrow. I'm hoping for good news.

Pumpkin is on a canned only light diet which she loves. It is helping her lose a little weight. I can see more of her waist line now. She still is a pretty big kitty. Last weigh in was 12.6 pounds. Pooky was 9 at his last visit, but I think he's plumped up a little.

Behold the cuteness that is Diva (Pumpkin) and Loki (Pooky).

I hate that stupid flashy light thing. I always close my eyes when she brings it out.

Rawr! I'll get you mousie! My paws of six toed fury will thrash you!

Mousie in the middle! Trembling in fear no doubt.

I love my mommy-kitty and her comfy tummy. I am protected by her white paw and thorough baths.

They are holding paws in that last picture. Too cute. This particular cuteness only lasted about five minutes. One of them will usually piss the other off and it's spat city. The good thing is that this behavior from Pooky is more like that of his pre CRF diagnosis.

Warcraft No More But Wii-ed Out
Unfriendly and I FINALLY got our Wii. Honestly, we hadn't been looking too terribly hard for one, but it seemed whenever we went to look around, no one had any in stock.

We decided a couple of months ago that World of Warcraft no longer held the interest it had in the past. For one, we had no desire to shell out cash for the Burning Crusade upgrade and didn't want to but the effort into leveling our characters up to 70.

We both like the idea of interactive gaming. I forget what system we tried in the past but we played a series of games at friend's house where you had to move around to accomplish tasks in-game. One of my co-workers at old, hateful job had gotten Wii and loved it. When he actually started complaining about being sore from Wii boxing, I figured why the heck not? It's not like I've been good about exercising since moving from Michigan. I figured instead of spending $ per month on WoW and having my muscles turn to jelly, it'd be good to get the gaming fix in and some exercise.

The Wii sports package contains tennis, bowling, golf, baseball and boxing. Wii boxing kicks ass.
Tennis and baseball are not my forté at all, but I'm getting better.

There's also a whole training section for each sport and three types of training exercises per sport. I did that for 40 minutes today and I totally feel my obliques and upper back / shoulders. Those 40 minutes flew by too.

The Wii bundle that we ended up getting included 3 games. We have Legend of Zelda, which I haven't played yet, a Sonic the Hedgehog game and Super Paper Mario Bros.

Super Paper Mario Bros is Wii crack. Apparently I've played 10 hours of this game since last week. When I woke up this morning, it's the first thing I wanted to do. Crazy.

The thing is that it completely pisses me off because I'm not very good with the whole console button move / jump thing. I constantly do stupid crap because my finger coordination is off. I get myself killed continually and then get all upset and curse up a storm. So to burn up steam, I've been putting in the sports game and boxing my video game anger away. I'm insane. Getting a work out in, but insane.

The sports pack got me curious for some time now, sadly none of my friends got it yet... so I can try it.
But I will not get a new console in the near future, after all our old PS2 has been used like 4 times per year!
    ;)
